Our Values
Transferring deep clinical knowledge into an exceptional patient experience.
We believe wellbeing is for everyone.
We’re creating an inclusive environment where wellbeing is a collective journey, emphasizing safety in experimentation, curiosity, difference, and collaboration.
We optimize for experimentation and a growth mindset.
We hypothesize, seek feedback, and iterate. We resource for maximal impact with the right amount of effort. Learning and adapting trump pure performance.
We move toward discomfort, never avoidance.
We believe that to let go of suffering, we also have to accept discomfort: acknowledging that it’s data that catalyzes real growth and change.
We are playful and authentic, even with the tough stuff.
Emphasizing human connection, we live for humor, vulnerability, and authenticity. We code-switch to be fluent in tech speak, but never forget who we are.
We move with integrity and intentional velocity.
We don’t move fast and break things. We acknowledge our mistakes, repair when we shatter things. We pause, reflect, rewind and move forward together.
Our Story
Wave was founded to break down the barriers to accessing high-quality, affordable mental health care.
After 18 years in the mental healthcare space, Stanford Professor and practicing clinical psychologist Dr. Sarah Adler acted on a disturbing truth: Good mental health care is hard to find, inflexible, and expensive, especially for underrepresented people.
So, Sarah founded Wave to make high-quality mental health care accessible for all. Wave is transforming the way patients receive whole-person mental health care by rethinking the fundamentals. Wave’s model moves away from traditional methods of relying on one weekly in-person session to a more flexible, accessible, and inclusive method of care delivery that meets people where they are.
With Wave, more people can get the care they need to successfully navigate all the highs and lows of daily life.
